About the Job
We are looking for an SMT Operator to join our team in Newtown, PA!
Join our team in the manufacturing of complex, state of the art electronics for flight tests. As an SMT Operator, youll have the opportunity to work within a collaborative setting, with responsibilities for operating machines that place small electronic components, such as resistors, transistors, and diodes, onto circuit boards. Youll set up, run and maintain SMT lines, including DEK printers, Mycronic300 and MY9, and Heller ovens, ensuring high-quality output. Inspect Printed Circuit Boards, maintain inventory and schedule maintenance for production equipment.

YOUR CHALLENGE:
- Load and unload surface mount technology (Mycronic) machines with reels of components, ensuring correct placement and orientation for the assembly process.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on SMT equipment, including cleaning, calibration, and minor repairs to prevent downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Inspect assembled circuit boards using magnification equipment to verify correct component placement and solder joint quality, adjusting machine settings as necessary.
- Apply solder paste to circuit boards using stencil printing equipment, adjusting the squeegee speed and pressure to ensure even distribution across pads.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- 2 years of manufacturing experience preferably with pick and place equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience with component placement; using SMT machines to accurately position components according to complex blueprints and specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond quickly and efficiently to changes in the build schedule is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electronic components and the ability to reach and understand PWB drawings with polarities and instructions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are required.
- Strong computer literacy.
Preferred
- Technical Degree
- Previous experience working SAP.
