Our canine group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring a SmartTech® Training Manager. The Manager, Trainer Curriculum & Development is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering counter-terrorism training for both private sector and government clients. The Manager, Trainer Curriculum & Development will travel up to 30%, both domestic and international, and must be able to respond to occasional short notice travel requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical and policy writing for Department of Homeland Security Safety Act certification across two Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) training programs
- Design, develop, and deliver counter-terrorism training for private sector and government clients
- Organize and document global training delivery for multiple Instructors
- Work in conjunction with operational partners to design, develop and deliver just in time training programs
- Maintain current curriculum and design new curriculum for Basic X-ray; Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) weapons and effects; explosives and explosive effect; personnel and vehicle screening and check points
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- Graduate of Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) School or FBI Hazardous Devices School
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification In security, safety, or training field
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional-level experience in learning program development and classroom instruction
- Ability to work Independently with little to no direct supervision
- Ability to write manuals, review, and respond to written requests for proposals, training documents, and prepare extensive presentations
- Highly proficient and fully functional In Microsoft programs such as Word and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple completing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
- Ability to maintain correspondence discussions, and materials with strict discretion
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills; ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients
- Able to work under deadline pressure, apply sound logic and judgement, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
- College degree or enrollment with a focus on business, education, and/or criminal justice studies
- Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement and/or military
- Experience in security operations or other functions of security industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of improvised explosive devices, CBRN, radiography, IED response using X-Ray and mail or passenger screening using cabinet x-ray
- High degree of proficiency using online software applications such as ZipGrade and Safety Culture iAuditor for quality control and testing for other bomb technicians

Pay $82,000 to $87,000 per year
