Job Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Small Engine Technician to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with some of the leading brands in the industry such as Dingos, Toro, Stihl, Honda, and more. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of small engine equipment including two-cycle mowers. This role requires a deep understanding of small engine mechanics, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
1. Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing various types of small engine equipment including but not limited to Dingos, Toro, Stihl, Honda, two-cycle mowers.
2. Performing routine maintenance work such as oil changes, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
3. Inspecting, testing, and listening to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.
4. Disassembling and reassembling equipment and parts.
5. Repairing or replacing worn, defective, or broken parts.
6. Keeping detailed records of each piece of equipment they service, including the maintenance performed, parts used, and time spent.
7. Ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to during work to prevent any accidents or injury.
8. Keeping the workspace clean, organized, and safe.
9. Communicating effectively with team members and management about equipment issues and possible solutions.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Small Engine Technician.
3. Extensive hands-on experience with brands like Dingos, Toro, Stihl, Honda, etc.
4. Proven ability to diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on various types of small engine equipment.
5. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of small engines.
6. Must have tool and toolbox.
7. Ability to work 2pm-11pm.
8. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
9. Familiarity with all safety precautions and standards in the industry.
10. Physical stamina and dexterity to lift heavy machinery and work in diverse working conditions.
11. A valid driver’s license is preferred.
