About the Job
One of the largest non-profit animal hospitals with the largest group of veterinarians is looking for a Small Animal Surgeon
The primary job responsibilities include leading a surgical service (soft tissue and orthopedics) that provides primary patient care and clinical training of residents and interns assigned to the surgical service. The applicant will participate in all general surgery service activities, such as meetings, resident seminars, journal club, rounds, and other didactic teaching. The applicant must be committed to excellent patient management, client service, and clinical teaching.
Schedule: 4 Day Work Week (Hours vary)
Qualifications:
Must be ACVS board-certified surgeon or a residency-trained veterinarian to join our experienced surgical team. Applicants must have completed a 3-year residency in small animal surgery (or equivalent), be ACVS board-certified or board-eligible and be eligible for licensure to practice as a veterinary professional in New York State.
