Slitting Machine Operator - SURESTAFF

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Slitting Machine Operators for a client in Cary, IL. The Slitting Machine Operator is responsible for slitting material to support press, lamination, and pouch departments.    SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.   Machine Operator Shift Hours: 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm) Monday-Friday
Responsibilities of the Slitting Machine Operator:

• Make and interpret measurements with a standard ruler to 1/16 of an inch (must pass a pre-employment ruler test)
• Safely and effectively operates thermoforming equipment to produce quality product
• Reads job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Ensures job is in order prior to machine set-up.
• Performs required quality testing on products produced.
• Observes machine operation to detect piece defects or machine malfunction. Makes corrections to alleviate out of specification product.
• Position will entail standing for long periods of the day and lifting up to 50 pounds during shift. 

 Required Qualifications of the Slitting Machine Operator:

• 3+ years' of mechanical (working on cars, taking machines apart, etc.)
• 1+ years of manufacturing/operator experience 
• Previous ISO experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred
