About the Job
Overview:
Cosmetologist/Esthetician/Sales Associate working within the Skinfo store: an emphasis is on customer service and skincare consultations. Additional responsibilities include store maintenance, store sales, maintenance of Skinfo website, store inventory, communication with various vendors, POS system, product education and trainings, and skin care product/regimen updates.
Full Time: 38 hours per wek
Monday: 8:30-6:30
Tuesday: 8:30-5:30
Wednesday: 8:30-5:00
Thursday: 8:30-6:00
Friday: 8:00-4:00
Responsibilities:
- Greet and consult with/assist clients with any questions or concerns they have about their skin. Provide skincare consultations
- Ability to provide high quality consultations and all patient interactions in a professional manner.
- Provide understanding and education to the patient about their new skincare regimen.
- Add on coinciding products to a patient’s regimen, to help achieve better and longer results to reach store goals.
- Maintain relationships with your patients
- Follow up with samples given to patients by setting proper follow-up reminders.
- Self-motivation and continuous education of products/ingredients and treatments.
- Must attend monthly, quarterly and yearly meetings and inventory.
- Must abide by Policy & Procedure Manual and other policies in place for Skinfo employees.
- At start of day, make sure store is prepared and stocked with supplies/product needed.
- At start of day, open up POS system and count opening cash amount in drawer.
- Assist clients with any questions or concerns they have about their skin. Provide skincare and makeup consultations. Apply makeup to clients when desired after treatment.
- Inform patients of all product instructions and any sensitivity that may develop with or without treatment.
- Check clients out after they have decided on their purchase.
- Follow-up with patients on satisfaction of skincare regimens
- Follow-up with patients on replenishment items.
- Maintain cleanliness of store and have shelves adequately stocked at all times. All tables, shelves, counters, cabinets and closets should be organized and clear with no paperwork out at any times.
- At the end of day, perform closing procedures including: balance and close down POS System, and closing cash amounts and balance daily totals. Print out various daily reports.
- At end of day, make sure store is prepared and stocked with supplies/product needed.
- At the end of day, make sure all machines are turned off, and computer is shut down.
Throughout month:
- Assist in developing Skinfo newsletter content.
- Assist as requested in developing, skin wizard regimens, product training information, staff incentive programs in timely manner.
- Assist in organizing vendor and store events and develop/send mailers.
- Maintain displays with in the store shelving areas and cabinets
- Assist vendors with scheduling and participating in store events.
- Must always be aware of what is in stock and how much, in order to maintain inventory
- Be present within the practice and educate Advanced Dermatology providers and staff members.
- Perform a monthly inventory count.
- Create new “feature product” emails based on the needs of the store.
- Contact patients for special events based on direction from managers.
- Provide any other duties as delegated by management.
- IL state license in cosmetology and or esthetics preferred, but not mandatory.
- Position requires knowledge of skincare and aesthetic services offered in Advanced Dermatology
- Position requires excellent communication skills due to daily contact with patients, clients, vendors, and co-workers.
- Position requires the ability to multi-task and to help others when needed.
- Position requires ability to provide high quality treatments offered in skinfo in a professional manner.
- Position requires self-motivation and continuous education of products/ingredients and treatments.
- Position requires a team player and maintains harmonious interpersonal relationships in the workplace
- Must be responsible and dependable.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Prior experience in dermatology office a plus, but not necessary.
