Job Summary:
Paul V Fleming & Sons LLC is seeking an experienced and skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. This role involves working on a variety of construction projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction & Installation: Perform construction and installation tasks, including framing, roofing, cabinetry, and finish carpentry.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret and follow blueprints, sketches, and building plans to meet project specifications.
- Material Management: Select and procure appropriate materials for each project, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Measurements & Cutting: Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials as required.
- Structural Repairs: Perform repairs on existing structures, ensuring safety and compliance with building codes.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project goals are met.
- Tool & Equipment Use: Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, maintaining them in good working condition.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
- Problem-Solving: Address any issues that arise during construction, providing practical solutions to ensure timely project completion.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Skills: Proficient in various carpentry techniques, including framing, finishing, and cabinetry.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Tools: Familiarity with a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment.
- Safety: Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
