DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations, as well as Corporate nd local procedures and guidelines, this position will:
- Lead and develop site OS Multiyear Roadmap aligned with site competitiveness strategy. (Diagnostics, Deployment Phases and Health check).
- Execute the OS transformation roadmap defining precise dates for each activity and anticipate implications (resources, communication, cultural change, commitment curve).
- Enable OS implementation providing training and coaching to Site Leadership Team to adopt targeted OS behaviors.
- Drives capability building and cultural transformation at all levels of the organization using Modules and business process standards.
- Keep site Leadership Team updated and influence them to make sure teams involved in focus groups are representative of the site mindset and behaviors defined by Site Leadership and OS standards.
- Drive the site data collection and diagnostics process to identify improvement opportunities, check the quality of information by running pre-diagnostic analysis following company standards and other established data collection methods used for diagnostics.
- Support workstream teams through Problem Solving of roadblocks or difficulties and validating team approaches.
- Lead the Material Usage Variance forum for San Angelo, execute activities to ensure the site delivers on MUV financial commitments.
- Supports Local San Angelo and E2E waste Forums, as well as and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver waste reduction targets and value generation.
- Support and manage Business Excellence Certifications and projects as required, including Kaizens, Yellow belt, Green belt, Black belt certifications.
- As directed by Business Excellence manager, manage contractor(s) or COOP student(s) to deliver business results, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
- Follows and observes all regulatory requirements (GMP’ s, ISO, FDA, internal policies, etc.) applicable to area of responsibility.
- Comply with all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001) and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
- Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’ degree in an Engineering field or Science discipline, Industrial Engineering degree is preferred
- Master’ s degree is preferred
- More than six years of applicable experience in a process improvement environment is required.
- Certification in Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies (Green, Black Belt or Master Black Belt) is required
- Experience in Change and Project Management preferred
- Experience in Regulated Industry is required
- Previous experience as a people leader or managing direct reports is preferred
- Expert knowledge of Lean Methodology and other Business Excellence tools is required
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project).
- Requires strong statistical and computer skills knowledge; Minitab knowledge and experience preferred
- Understanding of financial processes (standard cost development, GP calculations) and business planning cycles is preferred
- Ability to travel up to 10%, international and domestic, is required
