- Understand the scope and details of all company projects, plan ahead for manpower, resources, equipment, and materials needed.
- Coordinate with project leaders to ensure all job needs are identified and addressed ahead of time, including permits, inspections, etc.
- Communicate daily with project leaders to ensure proper documentation is completed regarding safety, time cards, production, change orders, and T&M tickets.
- Create, manage, and communicate the company's short-term operations schedule (3 weeks - 2 months) while coordinating with project managers to achieve project schedules and deadlines.
- Ensure field employees are trained, performance evaluations are performed and documented, and requests for annual pay increases are based on performance.
- Act as a project leader for smaller projects where no project leader is present.
- Lead and manage changes to scopes of work (change orders) and create/send drawings for field crews.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards required for all personnel on all projects.
- Effectively delegate tasks and hold project leaders and other crew members accountable for their responsibilities.
- Self-management and a high level of self-awareness.
- Ability to evaluate situations, make sound calculated decisions, and provide guidance to project leaders and other employees.
- Organized and prepared with strong planning and coordination skills.
- Commitment to integrity and excellence in all aspects of work.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of excavation and sitework processes and procedures.
