About the Job
The Site Superintendent is responsible for the overall progress of the project as well as the scheduling of workers and the delivery of equipment and materials. Oversees the daily construction activities at the customer work site. Responsible for the ensuring project personnel are following all safety and quality guidelines. Other activities include customer meetings, project and program management, capacity planning and forecast, audit compliance, safety compliance, statements of work (SOW), standard quotes along with planning, assigning and directing work and appraising performance of personnel.
Primary Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for the project work for the assigned account(s) on a daily basis.
- Manage the safety program and ensure all safety compliance is followed
- Has to manage the productivity of the onsite team
- Manage the quality program and ensure all quality compliance is followed.
- Owns and ensures timely incident escalations occurs in accordance with established policies, procedures and OLA and SLA requirements for the assigned account(s).
- Coach, mentor and develop staff including providing career development and training plans
- Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules
- Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and requirements for each phase of construction
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with Low Voltage Construction experience
- Possesses strong knowledge of data center, lab, office and semiconductor manufacturing IT best practices and disciplines
- Knowledge of building construction processes and procedures, equipment, tools and materials
- Ability to interpret blueprint specifications
- Ability to evaluation construction and/or design problems and recommend solutions
- Prior experience leading, motivating and directing a delivery team
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deliverables
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Education
- Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in IT Management or other related technology fields of study
- Preferred:
- Registered Communications Distribution Designer, RCDD BICSI
- PMP Certified or equivalent
- ITIL Certified
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will manage Project Managers, Technicians, Coordinators and may manage Supervisors.
