Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Reliability Engineering Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of talented engineers in a fast-paced, innovative environment. As a Consulting Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and reliability of our websites, applications and systems. You will be tasked with identifying issues and implementing solutions to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of site reliability engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
2. Work closely with sales and engineering teams to understand their needs and translate them into reliable, scalable, and efficient systems.
3. Monitor and maintain the performance and reliability of our sales platforms and systems using tools like New Relic and Noibu.
4. Identify and resolve issues that could impact the performance or reliability of our systems.
5. Develop and implement strategies for system improvements, upgrades, and new technologies.
6. Ensure system compliance with industry standards and regulations.
7. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
8. Create and manage budgets for projects and resources.
9. Develop, implement and oversee disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
10. Regularly report on the status of systems, including any potential issues or risks.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in a site reliability engineering role, preferably in the sales industry.
3. Proven experience with tools like New Relic and Noibu.
4. Strong knowledge of system architecture, including cloud-based systems.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
6. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor a team.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
8. Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and resources.
9. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to system performance and reliability.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
11. Proven experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
