Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Wordly

Description
In this individual contributor role, you will use your skills and experience to help Wordly maintain a robust, high-availability, cloud-based infrastructure. You will work with Wordly developers and SREs to ensure Wordly microservices and tools are easy to deploy, update, and monitor so that Wordly is always available to all users in all parts of the world.  

The solutions you develop will be instrumental in ensuring Wordly can fulfill its promise of eliminating language barriers anywhere at any time.

From virtual meetings to large, in-person conference venues, Wordly strives to provide high quality, real-time translation services in 50+ languages to anyone, anywhere. Wordly caters to numerous customers around the world, including local organizations and businesses; government entities; Fortune 500 companies; and much, much more.

While this is a fully remote position, office space in Los Altos, California is available for San Francisco Bay Area residents that wish to utilize it.

Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working with cloud providers like GCP and AWS.
- Experience managing and monitoring container orchestration systems, such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working on a fully remote team.
- Experience using Git and Jira or similar tools.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD automation.
- Familiar with managing security compliance systems.
- Experience managing and monitoring distributed databases, caching systems, and/or messaging systems.
- Experience managing and monitoring in-house SSO systems.
- Able to work with developers to simplify feature deployment.
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining and upgrading infrastructure tools.
- Assist with setting up monitoring and alerting systems.
- Assist with automating CI/CD systems.
- Contribute to Wordly's engineering processes and culture to maintain a cooperative, supportive environment for all developers.
