Job Description:
As a Construction Site Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects by overseeing on-site operations, managing personnel, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Management:
- Supervise all on-site activities, including construction progress, material deliveries, and equipment usage.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to project specifications.
- Monitor daily work activities and address any issues or concerns that may arise during construction.
Personnel Supervision:
- Lead and direct on-site personnel, including construction workers, subcontractors, and laborers.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on project requirements and individual capabilities.
- Provide guidance and training to ensure that work is performed safely and efficiently.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Identify and address any deficiencies or deviations from quality standards promptly.
- Implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project quality and client satisfaction.
Safety Management:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all personnel adhere to OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks to communicate hazards and promote a culture of safety on the construction site.
- Investigate accidents or incidents and implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between on-site personnel and project management.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to the Project Manager, highlighting achievements, challenges, and milestones.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred).
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, practices, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Proficient in reading construction plans and specifications.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification (preferred).
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
