Site Civil Engineer - Spotlock

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects. As a Site Civil Engineer, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure the successful completion of projects within specified timelines and budgetary constraints.

 

Responsibilities:

• Site Planning and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive site assessments to determine feasibility and constraints for proposed projects.
• Design Development: Develop detailed engineering plans and specifications for site development, grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations by staying abreast of zoning codes, environmental regulations, and permitting requirements.
• Project Management: Oversee and manage the execution of civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.
• Coordination: Collaborate with architects, landscape architects, environmental scientists, and other professionals to integrate various design elements into cohesive and functional site plans.
• Construction Oversight: Provide on-site support during construction to address any engineering-related issues, ensuring that construction activities align with approved plans.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and quality assurance checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of project deliverables.
• Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, present design solutions, and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• 10+ years experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site development and/or infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and permitting processes.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to sustainability and innovation in civil engineering practices.
