High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a civilian or military basic electronics course.   

4 years of comparable work experience in the aircraft or IT industry.

One to three years of experience as a flight simulator technician or equivalent.

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Related skill areas should include technical writing and presentation skills.

Demonstrated technical writing and oral communication skills.

None

Security Clearance and Responsibilities

Must either have a current security clearance or be fully eligible for the requisite clearance for the Technician position. Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.  May be responsible for proper classification and marking of all information and materials. Employee shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know authorization. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. Will be required to execute company non-disclosure agreement prior to access to any controlled information.

Qualifications

Candidate must be able to perform all assigned duties satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required:

Must be skilled at use and operation of test equipment, including torque wrenches, “O” scopes, frequency meters, volt/ohm meters, calibration test sets, etc.

Must be able to perform routine preventive maintenance actions using maintenance cards, work instructions and instructional manuals to perform daily system readiness checks, pre-operational and post-operational checkouts. 

Must possess skills necessary to diagnose and isolate mal­functions in electronic systems; align, adjust, and calibrate installed training devices; interpret mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic schema­tics and prepare simplified versions.

Must possess skills to perform calibrations, technical adjust­ments and interoperability tests on elec­tronic equipment; analyze operations, isolate malfunctions, and replace defective components used in installed devices.

Must be able to work team environment, or independently with minimal supervision.

Must be able to drive a fork-lift, man-lift, or other support equipment as needed.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Must be able to work overtime as required.

Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required.

Must either have a DoD Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain. 

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex words and technical documents/diagrams.   Must be able to generate effective oral and written presentations as needed.

Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skills

Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, prices, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Forklift certification (as required)

Security + Plus or higher Certification (mandatory), or able to obtain within 6 months.

Must be able to detect odors, noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect discrepancies of malfunctioning equipment.

Must be able to distinguish colors.

Must be able to perform Domestic and International travel as required.

Shop floor environment.

Will be working in areas with risk of injury from electrical applications, moving mechanical parts, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems under pressure and Electrical motion systems.

May be exposed to conditions of extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.
