Position: Shuttle Driver w/ Light Maintenance support Rush Hospital
Location: Rush Hospital Parking Garage
Shifts: Shifts will vary
Pay Rate: $16.40-$16.50/hour
Must have a Valid Drivers License
The Shuttle Driver ensures the safe transportation of guests using a 12 passenger van or smaller vehicle, while delivering service that exceeds our customer/client’s expectations. The Shuttle Driver is responsible for responding quickly to customers’ requests and providing caring interactions with all guests at their assigned location. The Shuttle Driver works closely with fellow team members, Operations Manager, and/or Shift Supervisor to ensure that quality and safety standards are met at all times as well as adhering to state and local laws.

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for responding quickly to customers’ requests and providing caring interactions with all guests at their assigned location. The Shuttle Driver works closely with fellow team members, Operations Manager, and/or Shift Supervisor to ensure that quality and safety standards are met at all times as well as adhering to state and local laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Politely and professionally meet and greet all guests upon arrival
- Perform daily inspections on assigned equipment, report safety issues immediately to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
- Transport passengers via a fixed route with scheduled pick-up and drop-off locations for passengers
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe Shuttle at all times
- Immediately report any accidents, incidents or safety concerns to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
- Provide excellent customer service to guests; respond to guest inquiries in a courteous manner, give directions to nearest highway, destination, etc.
- Be aware of potential passengers and approach guests seeking assistance
- Communicate professionally at all times with guests, client, and teammates
- All other duties as assigned including supporting Maintenance team as needed
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Must be organized
- Must have a valid Drivers License
- Strong command of the English language, be friendly, even tempered, cooperative, able to work independently and be able to communicate effectively
- Basic knowledge regarding light maintenance assistance (garbage collection, general clean up, etc...)
- Ability to operate a snow plow would be an asset
- Ability to drive a number of various different types of vehicles (Automatic or Manual Transmission)
- Knowledge of various parking related machinery
EDUCATION / SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience with general repairs and maintenance functions
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic Technical Education
