Title: Shuttle Driver / Custodian
Department: Programs
Reports To: Director of Operations
Availability Requirements: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Job Description:
As a Shuttle Driver and Custodian, you will play a dual role in our organization. You will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services for our club members and staff, as well as ensuring our facilities are clean, orderly, and well-maintained.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years of age, per WI DCF Admin. Code 251
- Clean driving record
- CPR & First Aid/Pathogens Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- All employees must pass a criminal background check and drug test before the date of hire
- Ability to work under little supervision
- Ability to walk or stand for the majority of each shift
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds, and stand/walk, bend, and twist
- Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions
Key Responsibilities
Shuttle Driver:
- Safely and professionally transport children to and from school to the Boys & Girls Club
- Drive children on field trips when applicable
- Provide children with a fun & safe atmosphere
- Engage children in the van where they feel connected
Custodian:
- Cleans and maintains company facilities, including office and youth programming areas
- Responsible for ensuring carpet, flooring, furniture, walls, toilets, etc. are properly cleaned and sanitized
- Follows cleaning routine and schedule as set by supervisor including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window washing, mirrors, etc.
- Replenishes supplies in washrooms, such as hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences or events
- Ensures any needed repairs noticed during cleaning duties are reported to supervisor in a timely manner
- Ensures exterior building is safe and clear of debris

All staff must ensure a safe and positive climate for all members at all times. This includes keeping an eye on the areas visible to them and any other area within their range of senses. Staff should ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and that it is being used in its intended manner. Should questions arise, staff are responsible for contacting their direct supervisor for assistance.
