Showroom Sales
Family-owned, industry leader for over 100 years with a strong team atmosphere and culture is looking to add a Showroom Sales to their growing team! Open to Showroom Sales experience such as flooring, plumbing, kitchen and bath, appliances, electrical, building materials, etc, and design experience is a plus, The compensation for this position includes a base salary, plus commission and bonuses for an annual earning potential once established of $75K-100K+. Expect to earn $70K in the first year!
The right candidate will assist, design, educate and sell all types of high quality flooring materials and installation services for carpet, area rugs, hardwood, and more.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a strong interest to detail, and a high energy, positive driven attitude that's willing to succeed. Most importantly, they must also have a passion and talent to easily build trusted relationships with our clients that help them immediately feel comfortable so they may result in a higher propensity for them to buy. The general duties and skills required of this position include, but are not limited to:
Showroom Sales Duties / Responsibilities:
- Develop a full understanding and utilization of our company's "6-Step Sales Process" that's presented one on one with every new customer. This process helps to develop upfront a strong customer rapport that quickly identifies their flooring needs so to find their best flooring options recommended for their home.
- Greet incoming guest’s entering our showroom, assisting them with selections, design and knowledgeable advice for all their flooring projects.
- Occasionally visit client's home to assess their space /decor to better understand the scope of their project & design style, to possibly handle any service issues or to better review client's estimate to help close their order.
- Provide detailed estimates (materials & labor) for all types of flooring.
- Diligently follow-up on all leads & estimates to help close orders.
- Track sales performance for success to ensure KPI's / sales goals are met.
- Participate in ongoing product knowledge and sales training sessions to be a successful flooring specialist.
- Assist in keeping samples and showroom looking clean and organized.
- Participate in bi-weekly sales meetings
Other Details:
- Ability to earn over $100,000
- There is no cap on earnings. You make what you earn.
- Will work 3 out of 4 Saturdays per month with a day off during the week.
- Will average approximately 45 to 48 hours per week.
- Geography - travel distance to showroom should be no more than 45 minutes on average
- Professional Sales experience is a MUST.
- Design experience is an added plus!
- Previous experience in flooring, home decorating / furnishings or home remodeling experience is helpful but not necessary.
Showroom Sales Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not necessary.
- Minimum 4+ years of successful sales experience (performance base incentives).
- Previous professional sales training experience helpful but not necessary.
