Once a quote is accepted, this position converts the quote into a job in the scheduling system and processes those jobs to prepare them for release to Operations. Jobs are processed through the pre-production structure by gathering and recording every project detail and by setting Customer expectations accordingly.
Showroom Sales Associate Job Description:
The role of this position is to work with clients and customers to identify the products and services required to meet their needs, to prepare and present quotes, and answer all customer questions. Once a quote is accepted, this position converts the quote into a job in the scheduling system and processes those jobs to prepare them for release to Operations. Jobs are processed through the pre-production structure by gathering and recording every project detail and by setting Customer expectations accordingly.
This function receives job orders from customers and passes completed job orders to Scheduling/Operations. The role may also handle any questions or issues from the Customer through to Installation. Automatic texts, emails and voice mails can serve this function to minimize direct telephone contact.
Primary Duties:
- Bond and gain rapport with the client (relax, gain knowledge, gain credibility)
- Assess needs of the client. Understand the problems and build credibility with appropriate questions.
- Explore Options. Explain the options available to address all the needs of the customer.
- Explain the company story. Build the creditability of the business.
- General Product Selection. Review appropriate samples. Select style and color.
- Recap, Price. List everything to be done and explain the pricing options.
- Complete Agreement. Sign forms, get deposit and discuss dates for measure and installation.
- Enter all job order information into the company job management software system.
- Note any incomplete information and follow-up with the Customer to get it complete.
- Coordinate with the Customer on any material or other issues.
- Communicate with the Customer to assure that the jobsite will be ready for Template and Install.
- Record job detail changes in the company job management software system.
- Communicate with the Customer on any pricing changes.
- Communicate with the Customer on any developing issues after the job is released to Operations.
- Assist as necessary with Sales when Showroom Customers are present
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in construction and coordination of construction projects is desired.
- Design experience is desired.
Compensation:
- $40,000 Base Salary + Sales Commission Program
