With two expansive farms in Wellington, FL and Westchester County, NY this internationally renowned farm is on everyone's dream bucket list. With about 30 year round horses, they travel to all of the biggest venues showing the Grand Prix's, Hunter Derbies, Junior Finals, and more.at Venues like WEF, Saugerties, Kentucky, and Traverse City they are a household name anyone would recognize. They raise,produce, show and sell some the world's best show Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation horses up and through the FEI levels. They have a level mix of youngstock, clients, personal competition mounts and sales horses. This is a close knit team of two owners, 4 grooms, 2 property managers and a bookkeeping team. This facility can give you the world if you take it on as your own.
Job Description:
We are searching for an industry best show barn manager and business development professional. This is a role that needs a candidate would finds passion and excitement in enjoying and promoting the business as if it were their own. Being ever thoughtful of the bottom line, finding ways to save money and develop opportunities for the ownership is a key factor in this role. FEI medication and rule knowledge are imperative as you will be overseeing multiple FEI level show jumpers and additionally international talent horses. This farm has a list of dedicated brands and partnerships of products and items they truly enjoy using and marketing and this manager should enjoy promoting and managing sponsorship and partnership deals for not only the owners but also the top junior, amatuer, and young professional clients that call this farm's two facilities home. The ideal candidate will really care about the business and it will be more than a job to them. They will have a passion for organization and team management and like to develop businesses! Teamwork and management experience is an important skill for this business, as you will be managing a team of 4 show grooms, and working alongside a bookkeeping team and Property Management Personnel. Managing the Sponsor inventory to benefit the bottom line is extremely important, looking for ways to save money and invest time and energy into a proper budget while keeping top notch horse care a priority. This position does not require travel to all shows but North/South travel with the Circuits is a must. Approximately Oct-May in FL, then a few months for Finals in KY, Devon, and MI, then home to NY for the remaining Summer/Fall Periods.
