Short Shift Caregiving (1-3 Hour Shifts) - Generations Home Care - Spokane

We are looking for individuals to join our team who want to be a part of something bigger than themselves and are motivated by compassion and connection with people.

We have elderly clients throughout Spokane and Spokane Valley needing assistance with short shifts (2-3 hours).  We are looking for certified nursing assistants and Home Care Aides (NA C or HCA), or someone willing to train for their CNA/HCA.     Starting wage from $19-21/hour, plus an extra $4/hour for short shifts!  One hour shifts pay $30.

Responsibilities May Include 

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting
• Working hands-on with activities of daily living tasks:    
  • Ambulation/Transfers
  • Bathing
  • Dressing/Grooming
  • Eating
  • Toileting
• Serving clients with instrumental activities of daily living:  
  • Cooking (Meal Prep)
  • Light Housework
  • Errands
  • Medication Reminder
  • Laundry
  • Pet Care (if applicable)

• Credentials-Current CNA or HCA in Washington State, or the ability to complete the CNA/HCA program within 120 days of hire.
• Education- High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation every day.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check prior to employment.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties.
