Equipment Technician

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing company representing Volvo Construction Equipment, along with being the Servicing Dealer for multiple other product lines that support the Construction and Agriculture Industry.

We are currently looking for a Shop Foreman in our Rapid City location. Must have 5 years' experience shop experience and/or equivalent, plus management experience.

The Service Foreman ensures that qualified diesel mechanics perform repairs correctly and efficiently and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Assist mechanics in developing their skills with your support;
• Schedule repair work and assign technician(s) to mechanical segments that match their skill level to ensure quality;
• Ensure that all repairs are assigned to mechanics in an equal and fair manner;
• Provide technical support for mechanics when necessary;
• Check progress of each repair order throughout the day;
• Maintain high-quality repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality;
• Road test vehicles to quality-check work performed;
• Monitor mechanics’ daily productivity reports
• Diesel Mechanic experience required and/ or a two year technical degree;
• Works closely with Service Manager and Service Advisors;
• Supervisor/Management/Foreman experience is required
