Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of automotive technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Workflow Management: Organize and prioritize shop workload, ensuring timely completion of repairs and services.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of work performed, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers regarding services performed, estimates, and any necessary follow-up.
- Training and Development: Mentor and train team members, fostering professional growth and continuous improvement.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, promoting a safe work environment for all staff.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing parts inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain shop operations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on shop performance, including productivity, quality metrics, and team performance.
Qualifications:
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent is required.
- Proven experience as an auto technician with a strong knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
