This position requires someone who is a self-starter that possesses skills in multi-tasking, attentiveness and is independent. This person should be able to handle high demand and high stress situations. There is room for growth with this position. The Shop Administrator is responsible for pricing and procuring steel for company projects. The Procurement Specialist is directly accountable to the President. The position involves direct contact with vendors and shop personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Be the point for Tekla in the shop
- Help shop complete tasks
- Make Tekla work in the shop
- Organize Automated Reports per release
- Purchasing
- Import files into Tekla
- Purchase material
- Price material from venders
- Inventory for GA
- Manage the flow of Work Orders
- Gather files and drawings necessary for the shop
- Purchase material as needed
- Enter into Fabsuite lot number field
- Make sure release to shop has all necessary lists and drawings
- Coordination of cut lists produced by purchasing
- Check shop drawings to fabsuite print out to insure accuracy
- Contact detailer when issues occur
- Back up for support with Python
- Support shop issues with suppliers.
- Back up Document and Data Control
- All the responsibilities that come along with DDC. o Import files for Python and Angle line
- Contact necessary party when issues occur
- Coordinate weekly production meetings
- Coordinate production schedule
- Coordinate AISC Quality Control Manual and Procedure Manual
- Including overseeing internal audit
- Coordinate yearly AISC audit.
- Be the point in LEED Reporting
- Other duties as assigned
