Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Manpower

Our client in the automotive industry is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join their team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be part of the logistics department supporting the shipping and receiving team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, organizational skills, and basic computer skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Location: Hayward, CA

Pay Range: $18-$20 per hour

What's the Job?

• Prepare necessary paperwork to accompany outbound shipments and perform the required computer transactions to ensure that inventory is properly received and located
• Print load sheet for full truckloads. Assign load numbers to all outbound shipments. Document information about loads and store shipping records in an appropriate location.
• Prepares shipment / labels for shipments
• Unload all incoming materials, suppliers and packaging, as necessary
• Inspect all incoming freight and documentation for accuracy and acceptability

What's Needed?

• 1-3 years of experience as a shipping/receiving clerk
• 1 year of experience within the automotive industry
• Demonstrated work experience with computer software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Internet, Word, Excel, and office databases
• Moderate typing skills and basic math skills required
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to employees and drivers.
• English speaking skills
• Introductory Spanish speaking skills (preferred)
