Description:
Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. Uses paper and computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Receives incoming materials and prepares materials for shipment.
Responsibilities:
+ Compiles records concerned with quantity, cost and type of material received in stock, or issued.
+ Requisitions needed supplies; verifies material received to determine irregularities in order; verifies quantity, weight and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
+ logs receipt of items in system, processes freight bills, packing sheets and other documents.
+ Inspects articles and rejects defective ones.
+ Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts
+ Uses computer and material/production tracking software, power ship,
+ Coordinates with organizations such as FedEx, UPS and DHL
+ Prepares commercial invoices and shipping tickets
+ Works within guidelines of DOT
+ Assist in stockroom as neededPursuant to International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”), applicants for SELECT positions will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status in order to meet the minimum qualifications for those select positions. All inquiries related to citizenship are asked solely to comply with ITAR and EAR export licensing requirements.

+ Detailed hands on knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and processes typically gained in two or more years experience in a manufacturingsetting.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
+ Must demonstrate effective, verbal, written and interpersonal skills in English. Work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
+ Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
+ Proficient in the use of MS software.
+ Within the first 90 days, must be able to gain an operational understanding of AAR operating systems. Good data entry skills.
+ Knowledgeable in FedEx Power ship, UPS and DHL systems preferred.
+ Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
+ High school diploma, GED or equivalent
