About the Job
Adecco is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, in Rochester, NY. To be considered for this Shipping and Receiving Clerk position, candidates must have a minimum of 2-years previous direct experience in manufacturing environment. Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for quality, quantity, and condition, and ensure proper documentation.
Responsibilities of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk:
Key Responsibilities:
· Organize and store products in the warehouse, ensuring items are easily accessible.
· Prepare and process outgoing shipments by packaging products and preparing necessary shipping documents.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock replenishment as needed.
· Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule deliveries and shipments.
· Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other tools.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all shipping and receiving operations.
· Assist with inventory audits and perform periodic checks to ensure accuracy.
· Communicate with other departments to resolve any shipping or receiving issues.
Requirements of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to lift heavy items and operate warehouse equipment.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
