Shipping/Receiving Clerk
SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the receipt, verification, and processing of incoming shipments in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all materials and supplies meet documentation and standards for production needs. The receiving clerk works closely with the procurement, inventory and quality teams to maintain an efficient flow of materials and ensure accurate record keeping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments, including raw materials, parts, and equipment.
• Record and document details of received items in inventory management systems, ensuring accuracy in item numbers, quantities, and condition.
• Communicate discrepancies or issues with shipments to suppliers, procurement teams, and supervisors as needed.
• Safely store and organize received materials in designated storage areas, following inventory guidelines to ensure accessibility and efficiency.
• Coordinate with the quality control team to inspect materials and ensure they meet specified quality standards.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move materials safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized receiving area and ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: - High school diploma. Familiarity with manufacturing environment.
Training would be from 7am-3pm and once training is completed their schedule will be 8am-4pm.
