Shipping/Material Handler - Nesco Resource, LLC

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate shipment of outbound goods, proper receipt of incoming items, and maintaining records in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipping:

  • Prepare and process shipments according to customer orders and schedules.
  • Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments, including labels, quantities, and packaging.
  • Use shipping software to create packing slips and track shipments.
  • Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.

• Receiving:

  • Inspect and verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing slips.
  • Report and document any damages, discrepancies, or shortages.
  • Properly store and organize received items in designated locations.
  • Update inventory records to reflect received goods.

• General Duties:

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to move materials.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure workflow efficiency.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift and move items up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
