About the Job
The Shipping Forklift Operator position is responsible for loading and unloading pallets of finished goods from trucks, assisting with shipping records, and preparing shipments. The Shipping Forklift Operator will collaborate with the Shipping Lead and Shipping Manager to follow departmental goals, and targets, and ultimately drive shipping performance to meet organizational goals. The employee may lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items brought over by order pullers, count, and report discrepancies back to the order puller.
- Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments.
- Shrinkwrap and label pallets for shipping
- Carefully and accurately maintain shipping records.
- Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or wrong picks
- Prepares final copies for shipments.
- Transports on the shipping dock with a hand truck/forklift or other vehicle as needed.
- Load trucks by forklift.
- Performs other clerical duties. This could include but is not limited to, ASNs, carrier pickup requests, shipping documents, and labels.
- Ensures shipping area is always clean by sweeping and depositing garbage daily.
- Assist other duties, or departments, as needed.
- Backup for small package shipping, and LTL shipping
- Other general warehouse duties as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Or 2-3 years of related experience and/or training.
- Forklift experience preferred, not required
