We are opening a new facility in Cedar Falls, Iowa and looking for a Shipping Coordinator. The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and shipment of materials, scheduling shipments, processing and sending invoices to the customers.
About the Role
This job will be expected to complete the following functions. This is not an all-inclusive list. This job may be assigned other functions or tasks. This is meant to be a general description of the most essential functions only.
Responsibilities
- Create all outgoing paperwork for customer shipments (packing lists, invoices, material certifications, etc.)
- Coordinate and schedule all customer logistics with freight carriers and 3rd party logistics portals
- Ensure successful shipment of products by creating picking wave, verifying picked orders, and applying labels to shipments, as required
- Maintain access to customer portals related to shipping
- Create all customs documents
- Send Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) for outgoing shipments, as required
- Submit customer invoices via portal, EDI, email, etc.
- Contribute to customer delivery rating scores
- Update short lead time orders log and report monthly
- Create picking waves for outgoing shipments
- Stop product shipments if known issues with products
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional education preferred, but not required
- Prior experience in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred, but not required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required
- Proficient with computers and with Microsoft office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
