Shipping Coordinator PERS/Ambipar Response is looking for a qualified Shipping Coordinator to support our expanding Shipping and Products division. The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the movement of finished goods to our customers. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Position Details Reports to: DOT Drug & Alcohol Compliance Manager Location: Ogden, UT Position Type: Full-Time FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Compensation: Commensurate with experience Essential Functions Maintain organized filing systems, both physical and digital, ensuring easy retrieval and confidentiality of documents. Coordinate shipping logistics, including packaging, labeling, and tracking, to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or partners. Package and label shipments according to company standards and shipping regulations Address any shipping-related issues or delays and proactively identify solutions Secure quotes and negotiate freight rates with carriers to optimize shipping costs while ensuring timely and reliable delivery of products/services. Track shipments in real-time, monitor for potential delays, and proactively communicate any issues with internal and external clients Manage and maintain positive relationships with carriers, fostering strong partnerships Ensures that product packing list matches what is actual shipped, i.e., box counts, palletizing, labels, etc. in coordination with Account Manager Collaborate with Production Planning to schedule production runs based on work orders, ensuring the attainment of production objectives. Track sales orders from receipt by customer service to shipment, ensuring precise and timely deliveries that uphold our commitments to customers. Help facilitate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, customer service, warehouse, engineering, etc. Assists with coordinating and scheduling of DOT and non-DOT drug testing Assists with maintaining active DOT driver list in random drug testing pools/consortiums Prepare and maintain records of all drug and alcohol tests (including random drug and alcohol screening), as required Maintains accurate records of all drug and alcohol test results Monitor shipping costs and identify opportunities to optimize shipping processes and reduce expenses Performs other related duties as assigned Minimum Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Excellent analytical skills Prolifient Microsoft Office Suite including Publisher Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to include the ability to communicate technical knowledge across a wide range of audiences Strong teamwork and customer relationship skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and private information \ Preferred Job Requirements Previous shipping experience Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Demonstrate understanding of DOT regulations Job Description Disclaimer This position description incorporates the core responsibilities of the job.
