Volt is immediately hiring a Shipping Clerk in Dallas TX.
As a Shipping Clerk you will:
- Packaging products in an efficient and orderly manner in accordance with all shipping procedures, packing slips, order acknowledgements, and customer requirements to meet delivery schedule and maintain product quality.
- Accurately completes all necessary documentation in accordance with established procedures for both domestic and international shipments.
- Coordinate with transportation companies to ship products and ensure on-time delivery.
- Enters shipping information into carrier automated system to produce shipping labels and tracking information.
- Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices and examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
- Accepts items into stock or releases items out of stock and records transactions using an ERP system.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, or other labeling equipment.
- Performs kit pulls and/or fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
- Tracks and verifies accuracy of inventory, counts and location, by physically counting and identifying inventory within specific locations.
- Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
- Participates in periodic cycle counts and/or physical inventories and maintains inventory records.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High School diploma or GED and 2-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Prior shipping experience preferred; international shipping is a plus.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite required (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Prior ERP experience preferred (IFS a plus)
