As a member of the Materials Team, the successful Driver/Material Handler will safely transport materials to and from our manufacturing facilities through the safe operation of vehicles. This position will also serve as support and backup to the Inventory and Receiving Associates.Our first shift runs from6:00AM – 2:30PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles: 26’ Box & Flat-bed trucks, Van
- Primary responsibility will be local delivery and pickup of materials at Warehouses and Supply Vendors (local)
- Load and unload truck multiple times per day
- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by law and Company policy;Perform daily pre/post trip vehicle inspections
- Effective time management and route planning skills
- Verify incoming and outgoing materials meet all company requirements
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- Assist with physical receipt of inbound freight
- Assist inventory cycle-counts
- Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) in a safe manner
- Create all Bills of Lading and required shipping documentation for all day to day operations
- Obtain shipping quotes and schedule trucks with all major carriers as required
- File and monitor successful execution of all freight claims with various carriers as needed
- Review estimated freight to actual freight costs and report to management on variances
- Update/maintain logistics reporting and files as required
- Own and manage all logistics items, work closely with the shipping lead to ensure shipments are going out in order and on time
- Work with customer service department to follow up on freight related issues
- Fill in for other supply chain team members during vacations or absence
- Other duties and special projects as assigned and required
- Be cost conscientious and look freight savings opportunities, always bidding out to multiple carriers and selecting the best option
Qualifications:
· Clean driving record for the past 3 years
· 2 or more years of Commercial Vehicle operation
· Must be 21 or older with valid PA driver license
· Previous experience in Receiving preferred
· Experience in operating forklifts (sit-down and stand up)
· Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
· Safety-First Mindset
· Basic math and recording abilities
· Excellent organizational skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
· High sense of accountability
· Able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs.
· Maintains a safe and environmentally sound work.
· Must pass a physical and obtain DOT medical Card (company paid)
