We are currently hiring a Shift Supervisor for our Brain Injury Adult Residential Program in Voorhees NJ. This position supervises the overall operations, activities, and staff of assigned program site and assigned shift.
Responsibilities
1. Provides supervision and oversight to staff within direct areas of responsibility on assigned shift:o Provides ongoing leadership, advice, training, feedback, and guidance to staff regarding a) the treatmentplans for assigned persons served and b) the daily care, instruction, and safety of persons served atassigned program site as outlined in the Individual Rehabilitation Plan (IRP), Annex A, and/or programdescriptions;o Ensures proper staffing levels and work distribution within assigned program site in accordance with levels ofsupervision, Annex A, and/or program descriptions;o Conducts regular staff meetings and attends program management meetings to promote a constant flow ofinformation, open discussions, knowledge sharing, and to keep staff well-informed;o As needed, attends various internal management meetings, external conferences, family conferences, etc.,to both obtain and share information;o Manages the ongoing job performance of staff; communicates performance goals, provides feedback, takesaction on performance improvement plans, and implements disciplinary action as needed;o Appropriately delegates work responsibilities;o Supports the professional development and career growth of staff by identifying and providing ongoingtraining and certification attainment in accordance with state licensing regulations and any accreditationstandards, as applicable within area of responsibility.
2. Supervises the overall operations, activities, and overall environment of the program site within direct areas ofresponsibility and for assigned shift:o Ensures compliance with Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and Department of Human Services(DHS) regulations, Bancroft NeuroHealth (BNH) and Bancroft Rehabilitation Services (BRS) policies andprocedures, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations, Department of Labor(DOL) regulations, and applicable state/local/federal regulations at all times;o Manages staff in conducting behavioral functional analysis and treatment sessions for persons served;o Complies with state regulations and accreditation standards and Bancroft’s quality standards for safety,security, cleanliness, and comfort;o May provide on-call and rotational support to effectively manage a 24 hour/7 day a week program forpersons served;o Contributes in ensuring that Program site operates within the established fiscal budget and may provide inputto program management for annual budget preparation for program site;o Assists in and/or develops work schedules in an effort to reduce unnecessary costs and unanticipatedvariances to established budget.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver’s License in the candidates’ legal name and current address. One year minimum
driving experience. License should be in good standing and free of restrictions.
Minimum of six months related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
Desired skills:
Aspiration to work with autistic, intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals
Prior experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred
Effective verbal and written communication skills
