About the Job
The Shift Supervisor provides support to the assistant manager and store manager in operating the restaurant in an efficient, profitable, safe, clean manner while providing a "great experience every time" to every customer. The shift supervisor will provide direction, and assist staff in all areas of the business. Key areas of focus are customer service, sales, marketing, product quality, service, safety, and cleanliness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with the Assistant Manager and General Manager executing restaurant's business plan.
- Manages restaurant operation during scheduled shift time.
- Assigns tasks to employees to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.
- Monitors inventory levels, order supplies, and manages deliveries.
- Ensures store meets health, food safety, and safety regulations.
- Exercises good judgment in decision-making and reporting issues to the GM.
- Resolves customer complaints.
- Assists in training sessions to ensure staff meets compliance and job performance measures.
- Maintains critical product and service quality standards, restaurant cleanliness/sanitation and timely service.
- Markets the restaurant.
- Assists in optimizing profits by controlling product and labor costs.
- Ensures restaurant is in accordance with established company standards, policies and procedures.
- Helps in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
- Ensures key practices are followed during shift time.
- Ensures team members follow health and safety guidelines daily.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Two or more years' restaurant experience (fast food/QSR supervisory experience preferred.)
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
