Shift Supervisor - Technology Resource Group

We are looking for a Shift Supervisor to join our growing team. You will be responsible for Overseeing all aspects of operations for our two melting furnaces. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and will interact with other departments on a flexible basis. During the shift, the Supervisor is responsible for leading laborers on the furnaces, guiding ingot pouring, and stacking & enforcing all production, safety rules and procedures. This position will also be required to cover other Supervisor shifts while they are on vacation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise aluminum furnace operations and lead a team of laborers in our melt shop.
• Maintain a working knowledge of metal chemistry, scrap handling and melt practices.
• Monitor, encourage, and track a complete safety program, including training of employees.
• Write shift reports for management, disciplinary forms, and performance review documentation.
• Operate equipment and monitor preventative maintenance programs for equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience in aluminum furnace operations or other metals melt shop preferred
• Foundry experience
• Must possess safety program and inspection experience
• Must have experience in leading a team and reporting on performance
• Preferred to be bilingual in English
