About the Job
Production Technician position that reports to the Director of Manufacturing. The Production Technician"s primary responsibilities are to assemble customer orders on our manufacturing floor. This position involves working in a fast pace workplace, supporting multiple projects at once to meet customer deadlines. This function will require a core focus on excellent communication, good work ethic and a positive attitude to assemble and ship orders on time. This is an onsite position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● May involve the following areas of assembly: ○ framing, wall board, insulation and panels. ○ Aluminum powder coat and stainless steel food service assemblies. ○ Food service and commercial/residential appliance installation.
● Hand tool use for assembling metal stud, trim, interior and exterior finishes and cabinetry.
● Assist with inventory, receiving and shipping including palletizing, stacking, wrapping and moving material around the facility.
● Perform quality control checks on parts and materials entering or leaving the manufacturing facility.
● Regular work space cleaning and organization.
● Attention to safety procedures and protocols.
● Final inspections of all assemblies leaving the facility to certify quality of assembly.
● Build to UL and HCD Commercial Modular licensed assembly standards.
● In addition to the above duties, when downtime occurs the position will be required to assist in other departments depending on the need of the company. This could look like cleaning, organizing, assembling, driving (errands), etc.
● Machine operating including press brake, water jet/laser, stud forming machine.
1-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
Ability to work with hand tools.
Familiarity with construction drawings or production modeling software.
Attention to detail.
Standing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs of equipment at a time.
Experience operating press brake, CNC, water jet/laser cutting operations, forklift training and welding preferred.
Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to work in a team environment as part of a growing company. Clean driving record for 15% of travel a year for installations or service calls
