Pay: $60-$70K
Shifts: 1st shift
Hours: 6am- 2pm
Production Supervisor Summary:
Provides direction to the shop floor, i.e., remove road blocks and facilitate problem solving. Seek out, objectively evaluate, advocate for, and implement the ideas of others. Communicate and build trust while fostering ongoing positive working relationships. Communicate corporate strategies and concepts to all employees.
Production Supervisor job duties:
- Takes a lead role in building a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Clearly communicates expectations of each team member in order to create a more disciplined work force.
- Recognizes team members’ strengths, and develops team members in areas where there are growth opportunities i.e.: cross training
- Able to lead a project from development to implementation.
- Keeps employees focused and on task.
- Looks for ways to celebrate success.
- Communicates in a manner that shows respect, builds trust and fosters ongoing positive working relationships.
- Communicates higher level strategy and concepts to the shop floor in an understandable and meaningful way.
- Exercises a high degree of confidentiality.
- Listens effectively.
- Directs shop floor, i.e., removes roadblocks, facilitates problem solving and solutions, etc.
- Willingly seeks out, objectively evaluates, advocates for and implements the ideas of others.
- Facilitates collaboration and team work.
- Work closely with production control and engineering
- Effectively problem-solves issues.
- Recognizes when an issue exceeds their technical abilities and asks for help.
- Makes decisions based on root cause and data driven analysis.
- Possesses working knowledge of ERP Systems.
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Experience in a union setting is a plus.
- ISO, 5S, Lean, process flow, and visual management knowledge a plus.
- Proactively manages capacity, productivity and efficiency; and makes necessary improvements based on data.
- Highly organized, able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective time management skills.
- Lead plant safety efforts.
- Proactively manage capacity, analyze productivity and efficiency, establish and monitor appropriate metrics and make necessary improvements based on data.
- Associates’ degree (A.A.) from a two year college or technical school or a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a related field.
