About the Job

Organise crew and their training in all workplaces of this section, encouraging the multiskill system.
Carry out the schedule established by Logistics.
Meet the standards established in terms of productivity (speed) and comply with the rest of the parameters established internally to meet customer requirements.
Guarantee the quality of the product by monitoring control plans and registering internal non-conformities.
Fulfil and ensure Health & Safety (PRL) rules and regulations, especially initial training in workplace risks and the use of Individual Protection Equipment, respect for the environment, tidiness and cleanliness of the Section.
Carry out first-level maintenance tasks in according with the schedule.
Manage employee relations appropriately involving local HR when necessary.
Follow hands over procedure. Report to incoming supervisor any problems that may affect their work as a result of anything that has happened in the current shift.
Apply the training plan to achieve multiskill objectives.
Ensure SOP is respected and machines are in proper conditions. Preventive maintenance and calibration is respected.
Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality procedures are respected. Including lockout and tag procedure.
Coordinate with engineering department the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance.
Approve purchase orders for corrugator materials and carry out control of them in accordance with SAICA purchasing procedure.

Implement, encourage and sustain the group management system in production area (SPS,SMS,SCS,SQS,SHS,SDS,SSS)
Identify training needs of their staff and coordinate the implementation of the training using the defined methodology.

Minimum requirements
- Experience in a leadership role in a fast paced manufacturing environment, preferably in a corrugated board packaging environment.
- Professional, proactive and flexible approach with a great work ethic. A role model at all time.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a professional, positive outlook.
- Good leadership and management skills. Ability to motivate the team and manage employee relations appropriately.
- 3-5 years experience in a similar post or post at a preceding level, preferably in the same sector.
- Continuous improvement techniques (Lean, 5S).
- Team management, conflict management, leadership
