Overview:The incumbent is responsible for managing security activities to ensure the safety and security of gaming and entertainment guests and team members, as well as the safeguarding of all Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain property; ensures that all potential security violations are investigated, and corrective actions are taken.Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position) - Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.- Hires, trains, motivates and supervises staff to ensure proper staffing levels and that team members receive adequate guidance and resources to perform job responsibilities.- Provides development opportunities to Supervisory staff to prepare them for career advancement; identifies and recognizes candidates with superior performance.- Meet with outgoing leadership to ensure awareness of previous shift’s activities, including review of any and all incident reports from that shift, meeting time with Director/Asst. Director of Security and Surveillance as defined, and continuity of operations prior to actual shift start.- Ensures proper supervisory staffing during regular and peak business demand, during periods where other Security supervisory personnel are on PTO, as defined by the Director of Security and Surveillance.- Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring department standards, guidelines, and objectives and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of department.- Coordinates closely with surveillance to ensure security of guests, team members and company assets and compliance with civil laws and company policies. Reviews, on a timely basis, relevant CCTV video recordings relevant to major incidents as defined by the Director of Security and Surveillance.- Implements and monitors emergency procedures to ensure prompt and safe handling of emergencies including but not limited to fire, flood, or bomb threats.- Coordinates security and investigation efforts with outside law enforcement agencies in order to assure proper handling of criminal violations of guests or team members. - Maintains and monitors guest service standards of user departments in accordance with established objectives.- Works with legal department in gathering information and location of missing witnesses and former team members; may occasionally appear in court with attorneys to assist in civil and/or criminal justice proceedings.- Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned. Strives to attend incoming shift’s Sound Check before departing for the day.- Perform work regularly and predictably.- Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice, or a closely related field, along with 3 to 5 years’ law enforcement experience; or through a High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years’ law enforcement experience. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc): - Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.- Must successfully pass background check.- Must successfully pass drug screening.- Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred. - Prior experience in Tribal Gaming preferred.- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. KNOWLEDGE OF: - Thorough understanding of State civil and criminal laws. - Knowledge of State laws concerning powers of arrest. - Effective communications skills. ABILITY TO: - Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed. - Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.- Compose, review and comprehend, clear, concise and accurate reports.- Identify and quickly respond to potential problems, altercations and conflicts and defend self and others in combative situations.- Assist sick or injured guests and/or team members.- Use tools and equipment, including but not limited to, keys, handcuffs, flashlights, radios, computers and other tools specific to the position.- Establish and maintain communication lines with Hard Rock Sacramento At Fire Mountain’s management team members, law enforcement agencies.Additional Details:
