Shift Manager Maintenance at Cleveland Cliffs

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Shift Manager Maintenance at the Tilden site. This role at the Tilden Plant is responsible for contributing to the maintenance team coordinating all aspects of mechanical maintenance.

Summary of Responsibilities: 

• Ensures that all department work is performed in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet all MSHA standards.
• Assigns work to the team per the daily and weekly schedule.
• Responsible for the quality execution of work and reports and recommends solutions to deviations from the plan.
• Provides coaching, leadership, and direction for department personnel.
• Distributes work orders for every job and provides progress updates to the senior supervisor daily.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:    

• High School Diploma or GED required. 
• Supervisory experience or previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and comprehend Gantt charts and use CMMS software (training provided)
• Schedule demands: rotating shift role that alternates weekly, typically Monday through Friday, 8-hour or 12-hour shifts.  Must be able to work alternate schedules that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and/or overtime, and be punctual while doing so.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial setting.
• 2-4 year technical degree or equivalent education.
