The Firehouse Subs Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Firehouse Subs restaurant during their assigned shift. They ensure exceptional customer service, supervise and train staff members, maintain food quality and safety standards, and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Supervise and direct the activities of the restaurant staff during the assigned shift.
- Train, motivate, and coach team members to deliver excellent customer service and perform their duties efficiently.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring smooth operations.
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork among employees.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Customer Service:
- Ensure that customers receive prompt, friendly, and efficient service.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and take necessary actions to address any issues.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure compliance with all Firehouse Subs operational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items to ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of the restaurant.
- Manage inventory levels, place orders, and receive deliveries as required.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and cost control measures.
Financial Performance:
- Monitor and control expenses, including food costs, labor costs, and waste management.
- Implement strategies to maximize sales and achieve revenue targets.
- Drive upselling and suggestive selling techniques to increase average ticket sales.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute promotional activities.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Train and enforce proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
- Monitor and maintain equipment functionality, reporting any issues for repair or maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in the restaurant industry, in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in restaurant management software.
- Flexible schedule and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
