Summary of Position:
We are currently looking for Shift Managers who are looking to grow their career in the restaurant industry! Shift Managers should be hospitality driven and guest focused. Taking the initiative to learn more is a must! Shift Managers assist the General Manager in all initiatives, from heightening guest service standards to lowering food cost. The Shift Manager should have the mentality of becoming the next Assistant Manager / General Manager.
What You’ll do:
- Help the General Manager build a culture that emphasizes working hard and having fun.
- Teach, Coach and Develop your people to learn more and perform better each day.
- Train new team members in each position.
- Drive sales through great operations and guest service.
- Working with your team on the production line, prep area(s) and helping wherever needed.
- Operate a financially successful restaurant by managing the major controllable costs, Labor and COGS: profit provides possibility.
- Learn administrative skills such as Inventory Management and Labor Scheduling.
- Hold your team accountable while managing shifts.
- Ensuring food safety standards are high priority. Taking pride in an extremely clean restaurant.
What You’ll Need:
- A hospitality driven personality and an attitude that is guest focused.
- Prefer 2+ years of restaurant shift management. Minimum of 1 years of experience in restaurant shift management.
- 18 Years or older.
- Ability to Manage successful shifts with at least 7 employees working at a time.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team and hold accountable with written documentation when necessary/
- Attend/Obtain Food Safety Awareness courses such as Servsafe, Allergen Awareness and other certifications.
- Knowledge of safety protocols they relate to baking equipment, hot surfaces and cutlery.
- Must be able to stand / work on feet for extended periods of time and lift/carry at least 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong English communication skills (reading, writing and speaking).
- Basic Computer Skills required. Microsoft Word, Excel & programs specific to scheduling, hiring & food ordering etc
