DESCRIPTION
The Shift Leader is responsible for directing an efficient workflow and assisting the Store Manager with various operational duties. This position serves as a role model for barista responsibilities and leads the team in the absence of the Store Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure a consistent and quality customer experience by executing brand beverage recipes and techniques, resolving customer issues, and leading the team to deliver Scooter’s “Amazing” customer service.
- Maintain speed of service standards during high-volume periods by managing an efficient team workflow, anticipating customer needs, and utilizing downtime to prepare for the next rush.
- Assist the Store Manager in onboarding and training new team members.
- Develop effective working relationships with team members, identifying individual motivation factors.
- Proactively seek opportunities to increase individual and team sales.
- Understand and execute cash handling, point of sale systems, and operational procedures accurately and consistently.
- Ensure team members adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Serve as a keyholder, following all opening and closing procedures.
- Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and adaptability.
- Assist the Store Manager with administrative duties as requested.
