Responsibilities
OBXtek is currently staffing for a SharePoint Administrator II. The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for supporting and managing the program’s SharePoint environment by performing Tier I administrative support activities of backup, site creation, user training, patching, upgrades, daily monitoring, and troubleshooting. This position leverages the integration of Microsoft 365 applications (to include Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.) with SharePoint to increase efficiency and develop new processes. The incumbent exercises independent judgment and requires intermittent and infrequent supervision to navigate the established program policies and procedures.
Major Duties:
- Serves as the first point of contact in assisting end-users with SharePoint Tier I issues and questions;
- Submits and tracks Tier II and above tickets to the IT Department;
- Performs typical system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, backup, restore, and daily monitoring;
- Performs SharePoint patching, upgrades, and version migration;
- Creates and maintains SharePoint, pages, libraries, list, views, enterprise lists, security groups, and workflows;
- Provides end user support and SharePoint tutorials on feature and functionalities;
- Maintains current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices, and procedures for SharePoint solutions;
- Ensures standardization of navigation and branding across sites;
- Creates SharePoint out-of-the-box solutions by developing automated business processes using MS Office 365 out-of-the-box, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Platform capabilities;
- Designs and implements automation solutions by using SharePoint out-of-the-box solutions to automate business processes using MS Office 365 out-of-the-box, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Platform capabilities;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into customized solutions to within specified timetables by designing and developing Power Apps dashboards and custom solutions;
- Creates site collection policies to configure and manages the feature functionality such as search, review audit log reports, and manages site collection caching to modify or improve storage procedures.
90 Day Probation: Once hired, all candidates must perform 100% onsite for the first 3 months in Springfield, VA
Qualifications
Professional Qualifications/Skills:
Active Secret Clearance Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming or equivalent experience related degree from an accrediting institution to be credited towards qualifications. Years of experience may be substituted for formal education.
- Five (5) years of Microsoft SharePoint work experience with utilizing site creation, user support/administration, and SharePoint Workflows;
- Intermediate knowledge level and experience with HTML, C# and objected oriented programming, such as JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, REST API, .NET, Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer, Workflows, SPFX, Node.js React;
- Intermediate knowledge level of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power Apps, and Office 365;
- Intermediate knowledge level and experience with Power BI development, including data analytics, data visualizations, and SQL;
- Experience in developing workflows using MS Office 365 out-of-the-box, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Platform capabilities is required;
- Microsoft 365 Certified is preferred;
- Experience in web application integration with external data resources, including SQL and Access;
- Experience working in a fast-paced collaborative team environment which required strong communication skills to frequently interact with people at all levels of the organization;
- A high attention to detail, self-starter, results driven, and ability to follow through on details is essential;
- Proficient in MS Office and excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Knowledge of Government security operations;
- Must be proficient in different operating systems, such as the Windows environment.
