Qualifications for the Shahbaz/CNA:
- Current and Valid C.N.A. license in Rhode Island
- 1 year experience (CNA)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to utilize an electronic medical records system
- Must have completed or be willing to complete:
- Basic First Aid course
- ServeSafe course
What will I do as a Shahbaz/CNA?
- Be a member of a self-managed and providing care for our elders including cooking, laundry, housekeeping and personal care.
- Protect, sustain and nurture the elders by providing assistance with activities of daily living and meeting other needs.
- Assist elders in a manner that promotes a high quality of life and a positive elderhood.
- Shahbaz are the primary partners to the elders in day to day life and care.
- Shahbaz are in close and consistent relationships with the Elders and meet their needs as effectively as possible.
- Provide personal care and services and implements the Elder's care plan approaches. Shahbaz report elder status and changes in condition to clinical support team members
- Manage the daily functions of the household by assisting with meals, housekeeping and laundry services.
- Engage Elders in daily meaningful activities of interest to enhance the Elder's life.
