Position Summary: The Kenjya-Trusant Group, LLC (KTG) is looking for a System Administrator Level (SA) to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Great opportunity to serve the Nation! Essential Job Functions: * Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
* Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
* Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
* Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
* Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
* Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
* Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Minimum Required Qualifications: * Due to the nature of this position and the information employees will be required to access, U.S. Citizenship is required.
* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
* Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
* Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly.
* Experience * Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
* Five (5) years experience in the design, plan, installation, configuration, and sustainment of a Red Hat Linux (RHEL) environment.
* Five (5) years experience in the creation of automation scripts for configuration, backup, and restoration using well know scripting languages (for example bash/Perl).
* Three (3) years experience in implementing OS level clustering.
* Five (5) years experience performing Puppet system administration.
* Five (5) years experience installing software from YUM repositories, RPM Files, tar-balls, or source code.
* Five (5) years experience in researching, acquiring, and applying IAVA patches.
* Five (5) years experience in using Unix/Linux command line.
* Five (5) years experience with VMWare architecture, Installation and configuration. Experience with facilitating failover with VMotion, VMWare template library, and VMWare monitoring capability.
Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
