Settlements Clerk - CornerStone Staffing

CornerStone Staffing is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Settlement Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a logistics company in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate will have 2 3 years of experience in the transportation industry, specifically working with over-the-road owner operators and contractors.

Job Posting: Settlement Clerk Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Location: Fort Worth, TX
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20 $22/hour
Contract Type: Temp-to-Hire through CornerStone Staffing

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Tasks:
  • Pull morning fuel reports.
  • Settle pay for Owner Operators, Agents, and Broker Carriers.
  • Process and send checks, ensuring deadlines are met (especially Thursday mornings).
  • Communicate with Owner Operators, Agents, terminals, and management for requests and updates.

• Reporting & Auditing:
  • Run and audit reports before and after check runs.
  • Enter charges for trucks and trailers, including standing entry charges.
  • Enter and audit monthly Fuel Tax charges.
• 
  
• Administrative Duties:
  • Respond to emails from management and accounting promptly.
  • Update or create spreadsheets as needed.
  • Request approval for Com Checks and reimbursements.

Qualifications:

• Required Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with 10-key and data entry.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

• Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with AS400, ICC, and Infinium systems is a plus.
  • 2 3 years of experience in the transportation industry.
  • 1 2 years working with over-the-road owner operators.
• 
  
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
  • Occasionally lift items up to 15 lbs.
