Description: Our client is currently seeking a ServiceNow Technical Product Owner
TITLE: ServiceNow Technical Product Owner
REPORTS TO: MGR - SERVICENOW MANAGER
PAY RANGE: $107,300.00 - $125,000.00 ANNUALLY

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The ServiceNow Technical Product Owner (TPO) is a pivotal role responsible for steering the strategic direction of ServiceNow products within our organization. The TPO will work closely with various business and IT stakeholders to ensure the ServiceNow platform aligns with organizational goals and delivers value. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, product management acumen, and a deep understanding of business processes and requirements.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
Product Vision and Strategy:
Define and communicate the vision, roadmap, and goals for ServiceNow products.
Align ServiceNow product strategy with organizational objectives and ensure the platform continues to deliver value.
Backlog Management:
Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring the work aligns with product goals and delivers value.
Work closely with development teams to refine and clarify requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of backlog items.
Release Planning:
Plan and manage ServiceNow releases, coordinating with development teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective deliveries.
Evaluate the impact of new features and changes, and communicate this to relevant stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with various stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure the ServiceNow platform meets their requirements.
Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating communication and understanding.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor and analyze product performance, usage metrics, and feedback to continually improve the ServiceNow products.
Ensure the platform remains high-performing, secure, and up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow features and best practices.
Documentation and Training:
Oversee the documentation of ServiceNow configurations, workflows, and customizations.
Coordinate training and education initiatives to improve end-user adoption and effective use of the ServiceNow platform.
Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, industry best practices, and applicable laws and regulations.
Promote the adoption of best practices in product management and ServiceNow configurations within the organization
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK:
Effective oral and written communication skills required to interpret, resolve, and document business or technical.
Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate applicable computer hardware, a variety of hand tools and standard office equipment.
Must be able to self-prioritize work in a manner that maintains deliverable targets.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:
INTERNAL: All levels of staff and management.
EXTERNAL: Vendors
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s Degree or relevant product management certification is a plus.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum three or more years of experience in ServiceNow, including a solid understanding of the platform’s capabilities and features. Experience in product management, product ownership, or a similar role, preferably within a technology or IT service management environment. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Certified Implementation Specialist is preferred. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar agile product management certification is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and best practices.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and prioritize work based on value, risk, and dependencies.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile, and fast-paced environment.
A proactive and self-motivated approach to work with a strong desire to improve processes and outcomes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged sitting throughout the workday to accomplish tasks.
Availability for emergencies and on call duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as needed.
Occasional travel may be required.
Corrected vision in the normal range required to configure, test, and troubleshoot network server hardware and data.
Hearing within normal range.
Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate applicable computer hardware, a variety of hand tools and standard office equipment.
May work additional work hours to accomplish tasks.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Certified Implementation Specialist is preferred. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar agile product management certification is a plus.
